The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016 offers an octa-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 7,300mAh battery
After introducing the upgraded Galaxy Tab S2 tablets in April this year, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016 edition in Germany. The slate runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and comes with a new Kid Mode 4.0, which lets you set the time period and the apps that your kids can use. The slate comes in Wi-Fi-only and 4G LTE variants.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016 edition sports a 10.1-inch TFT PLS display bearing a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The slate is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16 gigs of internal memory, and accepts microSD cards up to 200GB in size. For imaging, it gets an 8MP autofocus rear shooter with an LED flash and f/1.9 aperture, and a 2MP front snapper with f/2.2 aperture. The tablet is fuelled by a 7,300mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016’s Wi-Fi-only edition has been priced at the equivalent of around Rs 22,000, while its 4G LTE edition will set you back for approx. Rs 26,600. It comes in black and white hues, and will initially go on sale in Germany and parts of Europe in June this year.
